Cyrus45 youth agency
We are an organization in South Africa, Zambia and the Netherlands!
Various actions are taking place from the Netherlands for support and fundraising for projects. In South Africa and Zambia we work together with the local population, the government and other organizations.
The Dutch side of the organization is located in Den Helder, in South Africa in Cape Town and Jeffery's Bay and in Zambia the organization is located in Lusaka.
Why do we want to do this?
We want to do this because research has shown that young people do undertake small-scale activities, but that little is known about this. Yet it has turned out that the most effect is achieved here! We want to draw more attention to our projects by looking them up and offering them a helping hand.
There are many different aid organizations in South Africa, Zambia, the Netherlands and the western world. However, few can stand so close to you that you can roll up your sleeves, as it were.
You will always be welcome, as a donor, to come by. To meet in person those who do the work in these neighborhoods, hear their stories and hear where you made the difference to help an entire community.
It is this contact between young people and people in the Netherlands that is invaluable, what inspires us and what drives us forward.
What are we doing?
Networks and research
In addition to networks, a thorough inventory of the most necessary help in the various neighborhoods will also be examined. To this end partners will be sought, both in South Africa and Zambia and in the Netherlands. Together with your strength and that of the population, the foundation will use their working methods and methods for a special target group.
How can you support us?
Drugs and alcohol, loss of norms, values and respect for each other, HIV / AIDS (now about 30%), the increasing violence, racism, poverty are major problems that we face in contemporary South Africa and Zambia . For many, despair has struck.

Why Cyrus45 Youth Agency?
The naming of the Foundation has been chosen based on the idea that many people in South Africa can take an actual action, one do, based on the will of many people in South Africa, Zambia and the Netherlands. There will be little or no space between wanting and doing, so that the wish can be immediately realized.
Experience has taught us and research has shown that too little is being done in the small-scale field. While it has also been proven that the most effect is achieved here!
At our Foundation there is therefore no bow to which the donations remain. From a direct donation there is a direct measurable effect and direct feedback. Precisely because of that direct contact within the small scale, the mutual involvement is greatest.
Purpose of the foundation
The Cyrus45 youth agency Foundation was founded in 2009 with the idea of contributing on a small scale and with a human touch to various projects, including HIV and AIDS control, education, work development and other small-scale projects. .
The Foundation's main aim is to help, assist and support children and young people in South Africa and Zambia who are suffering from poverty and the consequences of the AIDS epidemic. We want to offer this group, which is located in the lower layers of society, opportunities to work up from their position.
The fight against poverty and AIDS also includes a fight against drugs and alcohol abuse, for example. We can offer these children and young people an environment in which they see opportunities and possibilities and in which they discover themselves, through support and personal guidance.
We should not try to reinvent the wheel. Nor should we think that "we" in the Netherlands know what is good for the people of South Africa and Zambia. Local organizations know what is needed and the pitfalls of working in these areas. We therefore work closely with local projects.
We assume projects with a limited duration; after all, where young people have learned, they can transfer their knowledge to others. A self-reinforcing effect for a society where living together must and can become central again.
Projects
• The Netherlands
The Netherlands will be a country from which many projects, with manpower and finances, will be supported. In order to help people find work, among other things, investments must first be made in the local population. For this we need professionals who want to give something of themselves. For a few weeks and / or months, these professionals will teach the local population “on the job”, so that they can continue working independently or for another boss after the project has ended. As a result, income continues to come in, so that the family is maintained.
• Cape Town and Humansdorp, South Africa
In the poorest areas of Cape Town and Humansdorp, South Africa, we regularly distribute basic necessities, including clothing, shoes, food and stuffed animals to the youngest youth. Unfortunately, there is little work (unemployment rate at the end of 2010 is slightly less than 60% !!!!!), so the necessity of life here is dire.
We have several projects running here, including:
- shoes to school youth;
- clothes on the poorest of the poorest in the slums;
- handing out bread and / or food parcels;
- hugs to youth under 6 years old.
- employment projects in a broad sense.
• Lusaka, Zambia
We are involved in several projects in Zambia. The following projects are about to be started or are already ongoing projects.
- fishing farm;
- water sanitary and cleaning;
- energy solutions in remote places;
- low budgeted house construction - Kapampa project;
- medical hospitals and clinics;
- school and education facilities;
- cabaret education;
- employment projects in the mining industry;
- employment projects in a broad sense.
